Pilates Rehabilitation

Our physiotherapists are Polestar-certified in the Pilates Rehabilitation Method an evidence-based approach that seamlessly integrates classical Pilates principles with contemporary medical and movement science. Each session is thoughtfully designed to support recovery, reduce pain, and restore functional movement in a safe, progressive manner.

Through precise, controlled movement on specialized Pilates equipment, we help you rebuild the foundation of strength, stability, and coordination your body needs to heal and thrive

Benefits include

GYROTONIC® Rehabilitation

GYROTONIC® exercise supports holistic healing by working with the body as an interconnected system rather than isolating a single injury. Through gentle, rhythmic, and three-dimensional movement patterns, this method restores natural mobility while simultaneously building strength, stability, and coordination.

Exercises are carefully adapted to each individual, allowing the body to move without compression or strain making it ideal for rehabilitation and long-term recovery. The fluid, spiral movements of GYROTONIC® exercise help restore movement quality while reducing the risk of compensatory patterns that can lead to future injury.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Begin

Yes, rehabilitation is one of our core specialisations. We work with clients at every stage of recovery — from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management affecting the back, neck, joints, and more.

If you’ve had surgery, we recommend obtaining medical clearance from your doctor/surgeon first. Once cleared, your Rehabilitation Assessment will guide us in building a programme appropriate for your stage of recovery.

Everything is assessed, nothing is assumed. Our rehabilitation instructors are all registered physiotherapists, trained to adapt exercises to complex presentations. Your programme is modified whenever needed.

A referral letter is very helpful but not strictly required. The more we know about your condition  including any test results, scans, or specialist notes  the faster and more effectively we can get your programme started.

If you don’t have a referral, simply provide us with as much detail as you can about your injury or condition when you get in touch.

If you’re already working with a doctor, surgeon, or external physiotherapist, we welcome their involvement. Bring any notes or rehabilitation guidelines to your Assessment, or ask your practitioner to contact us directly.

Your Rehabilitation Assessment (HK$925) is a 60-minute one-on-one session with one of our physiotherapists. It covers your full health history, movement goals, and current concerns. Using internationally recognised assessment tools, your physiotherapist will evaluate your movement patterns and design a personalised programme before any training begins. No two recovery journeys are the same. The Assessment ensures your programme is safe, purposeful, and built around your specific needs from day one.

All rehabilitation clients work in private sessions with our Pilates and GYROTONIC®-trained physiotherapists, ensuring close supervision and precise guidance throughout. The idea ais to move you out of the Rehab environment, build  confidence and move towards the studio and performance environment.

Your programme evolves as you progress, guided by our three-phase framework:

Activate — Restoring function. Addressing the injury directly within the rehabilitation environment.

Participate — Building confidence. Transitioning toward regular sessions at Iso Fit as your body allows.

Perform — Moving forward. Joining group or private sessions with our regular instructors for long-term strength and movement.

How long this takes depends on your condition and goals. We reassess regularly and adjust your programme as you improve  our approach is always adaptive, never one-size-fits-all.

Traditional physiotherapy typically focuses on treating the immediate injury or symptom — and once pain subsides, the journey often ends, even if the underlying issue is not fully addressed. At Iso Fit, rehabilitation is the beginning, not the destination.

Our rehabilitation sessions are led by registered physiotherapists, but they’re delivered within a broader continuum of care — our Activate → Participate → Perform framework. This means we don’t just restore function; we bridge the gap between recovery and active, confident movement for life.

Three things set us apart:

  1. Movement-integrated rehab. Our physiotherapists use specialised Pilates and GYROTONIC® equipment alongside hands-on therapy, allowing us to address pain while simultaneously rebuilding strength, mobility, and movement quality.
  2. A seamless pathway forward. When you’re ready to progress, you transition smoothly from one-on-one rehab into private, semi-private, or group sessions with movement professionals who understand your history — no starting from scratch elsewhere.
  3. Assessment-based, not symptom-based. Using the Polestar Assessment Tool we look at the whole person — your goals, your movement patterns, your life —  and address the underlying issues, not just the symptoms and injured area.

In short: traditional rehab gets you out of pain. Iso Fit gets you out of pain and into performance.

Many insurance companies may fully or partially reimburse clients for sessions with our qualified Pilates Clinicians at Physio Fit. To be eligible for reimbursement, you’ll typically need:

  • Insurance that covers physiotherapy
  • A doctor’s referral letter
  • Sessions with one of our qualified Pilates Clinicians (sessions with other instructors are usually not eligible)

We provide an official receipt/invoice from Physio Fit, signed by our physiotherapist, which you can submit to your insurer. We recommend checking with your insurance provider before your first appointment to confirm your coverage and any requirements for claims.
